UMI Performance 2nd generation F-body tubular upper and lower A-arms upgrade the front suspension of 1970 to 1981 Chevrolet Camaro and Pontiac Firebird cars for improved performance and appearance. The kit relocates both the upper and lower ball joints to add caster for better steering feel and high speed stability, with a designed caster range of 5 to 7 degrees. The spindle pin location stays in the stock position so fender clearance remains like factory. The upper A-arms use chromoly offset cross shafts to reduce the number of shims needed when setting camber, and include a pancake style polyurethane bump stop and a high quality ball joint. The heavy duty lower spring bucket accepts factory and aftermarket coil springs as well as popular hybrid coilover units. Laser cut UMI reinforcement plates add strength and a clean appearance. UMI double shear sway bar end links are included and work with the UMI 4035 sway bar and most aftermarket stock eyelet style sway bars. This kit is finished in UMI red powder coat and is also offered in gloss black. These A-arms are designed, manufactured, and raced in the USA in Philipsburg, Pennsylvania.
