UMI Performance built this transmission mounted adjustable torque arm for the 1982 to 2002 GM F-body to reduce wheel hop under hard acceleration and transfer power to the wheels. It replaces the weak stock torque arm with a stronger, more rigid tubular unit and bolts directly in place of the factory arm using existing mounting holes, with no drilling or welding required. The arm is supplied with a low deflection Energy Suspension front bushing that replaces the stock rubber bushing and installs in the existing clamshell. The rear torque arm mount is constructed entirely of 0.375 inch thick CNC machined mild steel and is fully MIG welded. On-car adjustability makes pinion angle changes easy using a 4140 heat treated adjuster and 3/4 inch QA1 rod ends. It fits GM 10-bolt rear ends, Moser and Strange 12-bolts, and most 9 inch housings. It is made in the USA and finished in black powder coat.
