The UMI Performance control arm frame braces reinforce the rear upper and lower control arm mounts on 1978 to 1988 GM G-Body vehicles. As power levels rise, the factory rear control arm mounts become more likely to bend or break. These tubular reinforcements tie the upper and lower rear control arm mounts together for added strength and improved driving performance. The braces are bent to contour the floor of the vehicle, so unlike some competitor designs they do not require the floor to be dented or pounded for correct fitment. Each brace is manufactured from DOM steel, TIG welded, and built with adjustment for a precise fit on all 1978 to 1988 G-Body cars. The kit includes new longer Grade 8 bolts, lock nuts, and washers for a complete bolt-in installation. UMI Performance manufactures these braces in the USA, and they are finished in red powder coat.
