The Texas Speed Gen V LT Low Lift Cam Kit is built around the Texas Speed LT low lift camshafts, which deliver horsepower and torque gains without the extra lift and valvetrain changes of a full cam package. Choose the L83 Stage 1 (212/224), L83 Stage 2 (218/230) or LT Chopacabra (214/228), all at .582" lift. The kit adds the TSP/PAC Gen V LT ovate beehive valve spring kit (PAC-TVS-2645-16), the TSP phaser installation tool and the TSP 0 degree phaser lockout.
On the engine dyno Texas Speed recorded 54 hp and 25 lb-ft from the L83 Stage 1, 66 hp and 24 lb-ft from the L83 Stage 2, 58 hp and 22 lb-ft from the LT Chopacabra on a 5.3L and 59 hp and 12 lb-ft from the Chopacabra on a 6.2L. Factory retainers, locks, seats, seals and pushrods may be reused when compatible, but pushrod length and lifter preload must be checked, especially if the lifters change during the DOD delete. A DOD delete and ECU tuning are required. An HP Tuners MPVI4 can be added.

Ordering Options
Select the camshaft (L83 Stage 1, L83 Stage 2 or LT Chopacabra) from the Camshaft option. Optional add-ons offered by Texas Speed include a rocker arm trunnion upgrade kit, valve seals (recommended), a valve spring compressor tool and an HP Tuners MPVI4.
Note: A DOD delete is required. Pushrod length and lifter preload must be physically verified during installation; changing lifters during the DOD delete may require a different pushrod length.
Note: Maximum recommended camshaft lift with the included PAC-TVS-2645-16 springs is .582". Verify installed height and coil bind clearance during assembly.

FAQ
What is included in the Texas Speed Gen V LT Low Lift Cam Kit?
The kit includes the Texas Speed LT low lift camshaft selected at ordering, the TSP/PAC Gen V LT ovate beehive valve spring kit, a TSP phaser installation tool and a TSP 0 degree phaser lockout.
Which camshaft should I choose in the LT Low Lift kit?
The L83 Stage 1 and Stage 2 keep the factory fuel lobe and gave 54 and 66 hp on the Texas Speed dyno. The LT Chopacabra uses a 108 LSA for a choppy idle with a 10 percent fuel lobe and gained 58 hp on a 5.3L and 59 hp on a 6.2L.
Do I need new pushrods or retainers with the low lift LT cams?
Factory retainers, locks, seats, seals and pushrods may be reused when compatible with the finished valvetrain. Texas Speed requires pushrod length and lifter preload to be measured, since new lifters from a DOD delete can change the required length.
Is a DOD delete required for this cam kit?
Yes. Texas Speed states a DOD delete is required with every LT low lift camshaft in this kit, and the delete parts are sold separately.
What are the specs of the PAC-TVS-2645-16 valve springs?
They are ovate beehive springs with a .582" maximum recommended lift, 1.900" installed height, 92 lbs seat pressure, 302 lbs open pressure at 1.380", a 403.8 lbs/in rate and a 1.280" coil bind height.
Is tuning required after installing a Gen V LT low lift cam?
Yes. Texas Speed requires ECU tuning for every aftermarket camshaft installation and offers the HP Tuners MPVI4 as an optional add-on to this kit.
