The Texas Speed Piston & Rod Package pairs a set of TSP 6.125" Super H-Beam connecting rods with a set of DSS SX Series forged pistons for stock 3.622" stroke LS engines. Texas Speed packages the same brand-name rods and pistons it uses in its own engine builds, sold together so the bottom end of a 4.8L, 5.3L, 5.7L or 6.0L rebuild can be ordered in one step.
The DSS pistons are forged from 4032 alloy and come with a moly ring set. All five piston options are -5cc flat top designs for the factory 3.622" stroke; the difference between them is bore size, from the 3.780" and 3.810" sizes for 4.8L and 5.3L blocks to 3.903" for the 5.7L LS1 and LS6 and 4.005" or 4.030" for 6.0L LS2, L98 and LQ9 blocks. Select the piston set that matches the finished bore of the block.
