The Texas Speed EL-C7 LT1/LT4 3-Bolt Camshaft, No VVT is the most aggressive of the Texas Speed 3-bolt LT grinds, built for Gen V 6.2L LT1, LT4 and L86 engines that have had the factory variable valve timing removed. The 3-bolt cam core pairs with a matching TSP timing gear, so there is no phaser to limit or align, and Texas Speed rates it for race and aggressive use with a strong lope at idle.
Texas Speed developed the EL-C7 on its SuperFlow 902 engine dyno using a stock 6.2L LT1 and selected the grind after testing many profiles for power without piston-to-valve clearance problems. The cam measures 231/245 duration at .050", .645"/.631" lift, 112 LSA and 109 ICL with a +32 percent fuel lobe. It does not support AFM/DOD, so a DOD delete kit is required, and automatics need a higher stall converter. Texas Speed recommends its .660" dual spring kit with PAC springs and titanium retainers and hardened chromoly pushrods. A custom tune is required after installation.

FAQ
What engines does the Texas Speed EL-C7 3-Bolt No VVT cam fit?
It fits GM Gen V 6.2L LT1, LT4 and L86 engines, such as the 2016 and newer Camaro SS and ZL1, 2014 to 2019 Corvette and Z06, CTS-V and 6.2L trucks and SUVs, once the engine has been converted to a 3-bolt camshaft gear with VVT deleted.
What does 3-bolt, No VVT mean on this camshaft?
The cam uses a 3-bolt core and a matching Texas Speed timing gear in place of the factory 1-bolt VVT phaser. That removes variable valve timing entirely, so no phaser limiter is needed and cam timing stays fixed.
Do I need a DOD delete kit with the EL-C7 cam?
Yes. The EL-C7 does not retain the factory AFM/DOD cylinder deactivation, so a DOD/AFM delete kit with non-AFM lifters is required when installing this camshaft.
Does the EL-C7 require a stall converter?
Yes for automatics. Texas Speed states the EL-C7 3-Bolt camshaft is a high-performance grind with an aggressive lope that requires a higher stall torque converter in automatic transmission vehicles.
What valve springs does the EL-C7 LT1 cam need?
Upgraded valve springs are required. Texas Speed recommends its .660" dual valve spring kit with PAC springs and titanium retainers along with TSP hardened chromoly pushrods.
How does the 3-bolt EL-C7 compare to the 1-bolt EL-C7 V2 cam?
Both share the 231/245, .645"/.631", 112 LSA, 109 ICL profile and +32 percent fuel lobe. The 1-bolt EL-C7 V2 keeps the VVT phaser and needs a phaser lockout, while this 3-bolt version replaces the phaser with a fixed 3-bolt gear.
