The Texas Speed Deluxe Heads and Camshaft Bolt and Gasket Kit is a configurable gasket and fastener package for a heads and cam swap on Gen III and Gen IV GM LS engines. Every kit starts with a timing cover gasket, front crank seal and water pump gaskets, and the buyer then chooses the remaining gaskets and bolts from a series of menus so the package matches the specific engine.
Menu choices include Texas Speed or ARP head bolts and studs for 1997 to 2003 or 2004 and newer blocks, TSP MLS head gaskets for 5.3L/5.7L, 6.0L/6.2L, LS9/LSA or LS7, a GM or ARP crank bolt, exhaust and intake gaskets, LS2 lifter trays, oil pump O-rings, a valley cover gasket and valve cover gaskets. Each menu also offers a Do Not Need choice, so only the parts the build requires are added. Texas Speed notes that other Cometic head gasket bore sizes and thicknesses are available by phone.

Ordering Options
Nine menus must be answered when ordering, each with a Do Not Need choice: head bolts or studs, head gaskets, crank bolt, exhaust gaskets, intake gaskets, lifter trays, oil pump O-rings, valley cover gasket and valve cover gaskets. The base kit always includes the timing cover gasket, front crank seal and water pump gaskets. Head bolt choices are split between 1997 to 2003 blocks (long and short bolts) and 2004 and newer blocks (all short), so identify the block before ordering. Texas Speed can supply other Cometic head gasket bore sizes and thicknesses by phone.
Note: Before 2004, Gen III and Gen IV GM small block engines used head bolts of varying lengths. In early 2004 GM changed to a design where all head bolts are the shorter length. Be sure which style the engine requires before ordering head bolts or studs.

Every kit includes a timing cover gasket, a front crankshaft seal and water pump gaskets. All other gaskets and fasteners are added from the option menus when ordering.
What options can I add to the Deluxe kit?
Texas Speed offers menus for head bolts or ARP studs, TSP MLS head gaskets, a GM or ARP crank bolt, exhaust gaskets, intake gaskets, GM LS2 lifter trays, Moroso oil pump O-rings, a valley cover gasket and valve cover gaskets. Each menu has a Do Not Need choice.
How do I know whether I need 97-03 or 04+ head bolts?

Can I get a different Cometic head gasket bore size or thickness?
Yes. Texas Speed states that other Cometic bore size and thickness selections are available upon request by telephone, and its sales staff can help choose the correct gasket for the application.
