The Texas Speed 6.4L Hemi N/A Stage 1 Camshaft is the entry point in the Texas Speed naturally aspirated 6.4L Gen III Hemi lineup. It is built for stock 6.4L Gen III Hemi engines, including crate engine swaps and OEM-based performance rebuilds, and keeps factory-like manners while adding a more aggressive tone and more power through the rpm range.
The 226/238 duration and .622"/.618" lift work with the factory stall converter and are rated by Texas Speed as daily driver friendly with a mild chop. The camshaft requires PAC 1232X valve springs, 3/8" pushrods and a phaser lockout. Texas Speed tested it on a crate 6.4L Hemi long block at 10.9:1 compression with stock 6.4L heads, PAC 1232X beehive springs with TSP titanium retainers and the stock 6.4L car intake with short runner valve on 93 octane. A custom tune is required after installation.

FAQ
What engines does the Texas Speed 6.4L Hemi N/A Stage 1 Cam fit?
It is designed for stock 6.4L Gen III Hemi engines, including crate engines and OEM-based rebuilds. Texas Speed's fitment data lists the 6.4L Hemi Challenger, Charger, 300, Durango, Grand Cherokee, Wrangler and Ram 2500 and 3500.
Will the Stage 1 cam work with my factory torque converter?
Yes. Texas Speed lists the 6.4L Hemi N/A Stage 1 camshaft as factory stall converter friendly, with drivability and idle quality suited to daily driven vehicles.
What valve springs and pushrods does this camshaft require?
Texas Speed requires PAC 1232X valve springs and 3/8" pushrods with this camshaft. A phaser lockout is also required, since the .622"/.618" lift and 226/238 duration are not intended to run with an active cam phaser.
Is tuning required after installing this camshaft?
Yes. A custom tune is required after any camshaft swap so the engine idles and runs correctly with the new profile, and so the phaser lockout is accounted for in the calibration.
What engine did Texas Speed use to test the Stage 1 cam?
Texas Speed dyno tested it on a crate 6.4L Hemi long block at 10.9:1 compression with stock 6.4L cylinder heads, PAC 1232X beehive springs with TSP titanium retainers and the stock 6.4L car intake with short runner valve, tuned on 93 octane pump gas.
