The CVF Racing BEAST serpentine conversion moves a Ford FE engine (390, 427 or 428) to an 8-rib belt drive for the alternator, power steering and air conditioning. CVF uses 8-rib pulleys instead of the more common 6-rib layout to add belt grip and limit stretch and slip. Parts are finished in Stealth Black.
The kit retains the original or an aftermarket clockwise rotation water pump. The alternator sits mid-height on the passenger side and a Sanden 508 style compressor mounts high on the driver side.

Application Notes:
- Uses the original or an aftermarket clockwise rotation water pump.
- Maximum alternator depth, measured from the front of the mounting ear to the back of the alternator, is 4.65 in. OEM alternators fit, but some aftermarket alternators are too deep and will hit the cylinder head.
- CVF suggests a compact 3G style alternator such as Powermaster 177491 (chrome), 277491 (polished) or 77491 (natural).
