The CVF Racing BEAST alternator and power steering kit moves a Chrysler big block 383, 400, 426 and 440 to an 8 rib serpentine belt drive, finished here in polished. CVF uses 8 rib pulleys in place of the more common 6 rib layout, stating that the wider belt grips better, stretches less and resists slipping.
The kit provides the pulleys and mounting parts listed below. The power steering pump must be a Saginaw unit with a keyway shaft; CVF states it will not fit a Federal Mogul pump or a press fit Saginaw pump.
