This CVF Racing BEAST kit converts an alternator only Ford 289, 302 or 351W small block to an 8-rib serpentine belt. It uses single belt water pump, crank and alternator pulleys with a billet aluminum alternator bracket mounted mid height on the passenger side.
CVF states its BEAST 8-rib pulley design grips better, stretches the belt less and resists slipping compared with a 6-rib layout. It works with a standard rotation mechanical water pump.
