This CVF Racing BEAST kit runs only the alternator on an 8-rib serpentine belt for a Ford 289, 302 or 351W small block with an electric water pump. With no belt driven water pump, it needs just a crank pulley, an alternator pulley and a billet aluminum alternator bracket.
CVF states its BEAST 8-rib pulley design grips better, stretches the belt less and resists slipping compared with a 6-rib layout. The kit is offered for 289 and 302 or 351W engines, for 3 bolt or 4 bolt factory and aftermarket dampers, and with or without belts.
