The CVF Racing BEAST system converts a Chrysler big block 383, 400, 426 and 440 from V-belts to an 8 rib serpentine drive that runs the alternator, power steering pump and A/C compressor. This version is finished in polished. CVF uses 8 rib pulleys in place of the more common 6 rib layout, stating that the wider belt grips better, stretches less and resists slipping.
The kit supplies the pulleys and brackets. The water pump, alternator, power steering pump and compressor come from the builder, and the compressor must be a Sanden 508 style unit with an 8 rib pulley.
