This CVF Racing BEAST kit converts a Ford 5.0L or 5.8L with the 1986 to 1993 reverse rotation water pump to an 8-rib serpentine drive for the A/C compressor, alternator and power steering. It supplies the brackets and pulleys for all three accessories, an idler pulley and an alternator fan.
The pulleys and brackets are CNC machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum. CVF states its BEAST 8-rib pulley design grips better, stretches the belt less and resists slipping compared with a 6-rib layout. The alternator mounts high on the passenger side and the Sanden 508 style compressor mounts high on the driver's side.
