CVF Racing's BEAST alternator-only kit puts a Ford FE engine (390, 427 or 428) on an 8-rib serpentine belt, which CVF uses in place of 6-rib pulleys for more grip and less stretch and slip. Components are finished in polished.
The kit keeps the original or an aftermarket clockwise rotation water pump and mounts the alternator mid-height on the passenger side. It is offered in underdrive or high flow pulley ratio, with or without belts.

Application Notes:

- The high flow ratio is only offered with a 2-groove crankshaft pulley, so one groove stays unused on this alternator-only setup.
- Maximum alternator depth, measured from the front of the mounting ear to the back of the alternator, is 4.65 in. OEM alternators fit, but some aftermarket alternators are too deep and will hit the cylinder head.
- CVF suggests a compact 3G style alternator such as Powermaster 177491 (chrome), 277491 (polished) or 77491 (natural).
