This CVF Racing BEAST conversion runs the alternator and power steering pump on a Ford FE engine (390, 427 or 428) with an 8-rib serpentine belt. CVF specifies 8 ribs rather than the usual 6 to improve grip and reduce belt stretch and slip. Parts are polished.
It fits the original or an aftermarket clockwise rotation water pump and places the alternator mid-height on the passenger side. The kit is offered in underdrive or high flow pulley ratio, with or without belts, and for a choice of power steering pump.

Application Notes:
- Uses the original or an aftermarket clockwise rotation water pump.
- Maximum alternator depth, measured from the front of the mounting ear to the back of the alternator, is 4.65 in. OEM alternators fit, but some aftermarket alternators are too deep and will hit the cylinder head.
- CVF suggests a compact 3G style alternator such as Powermaster 177491 (chrome), 277491 (polished) or 77491 (natural).
