This CVF Racing BEAST kit converts a Ford FE engine (390, 427 or 428) without power steering to an 8-rib serpentine drive for the alternator and air conditioning. CVF chose 8-rib pulleys over a 6-rib design for added grip with less stretch and slippage. The finish is polished.
It works with the original or an aftermarket clockwise rotation water pump, places the alternator mid-height on the passenger side, and mounts a Sanden 508 style compressor high on the driver side.

Application Notes:
- Uses the original or an aftermarket clockwise rotation water pump.
- Maximum alternator depth, measured from the front of the mounting ear to the back of the alternator, is 4.65 in. OEM alternators fit, but some aftermarket alternators are too deep and will hit the cylinder head.
- CVF suggests a compact 3G style alternator such as Powermaster 177491 (chrome), 277491 (polished) or 77491 (natural).

Does this kit support power steering?
No. This version drives only the alternator and A/C compressor, for FE engines without power steering.
What is included?
It includes 2-belt water pump and crank pulleys, an alternator pulley, billet alternator and Sanden A/C brackets, an anodized idler pulley with cap and bearings, and a universal alternator fan.
Which compressor does it mount?
It is set up for a Sanden 508 style compressor mounted high on the driver side. The compressor is not included.
Is there an alternator size limit?
Yes. The alternator can be no deeper than 4.65 in. from the front of the mounting ear to the back of the case, and CVF suggests a compact 3G style unit such as Powermaster 177491, 277491 or 77491.
Are belts included?
Belts are an ordering choice: the kit is offered either without belts or with premium 8-rib serpentine belts.
