The CVF Racing Wraptor all-inclusive system converts a Gen VI Big Block Chevy 454 (7.4L) built from 1996 to 2000 to a single 8-rib serpentine belt in a wide mount layout. The alternator is placed on the driver's side above the GM Type II power steering pump, and the full configuration also runs a peanut style A/C compressor. Cooling is handled by an electric water pump that CVF rates at 35+ GPM, so the belt does not drive a water pump pulley.
CVF uses 8-rib pulleys to give the belt more grip and less stretch than a 6-rib drive, and a spring-loaded tensioner holds tension through hard acceleration and deceleration while taking up belt stretch. The bracket is two-piece billet aluminum in a Black Diamond finish, and the alternator, A/C compressor and power steering pump are black plated.
It is offered in four accessory configurations, with a 160 amp or 300 amp alternator, and with no power steering pump, a GM Type II pump with remote reservoir, or a GM Type II pump with attached reservoir.
