This CVF Racing BEAST kit converts the A/C compressor and alternator on a Ford 289, 302 or 351W small block to an 8-rib serpentine belt. It is designed around the original style clockwise rotation water pump, so the existing pump style can be kept.
CVF states its BEAST 8-rib pulley design grips better, stretches the belt less and resists slipping compared with a 6-rib layout. The alternator mounts mid height on the passenger side and the Sanden 508 style compressor mounts high on the driver's side.
