The Volant cold air intake replaces the restrictive factory air box and tubing on the 2014-2020 GM Silverado 1500, Sierra 1500, Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon and Yukon XL 5.3L V8 with a sealed high-flow system. A high-velocity venturi filter adapter smooths the transition through the MAF sensor into the intake tube, and the enclosed cool-air box is larger than the factory unit with a bigger opening to draw a higher volume of cooler ambient air. It uses a DryTech dry filter that needs no oil and is cleaned with soap and water, and it bolts on in under an hour.
