This IDIDIT Retrofit column is designed specifically to fit the 1958-1962 Corvette, replacing the factory column with a straight, floor-shift design. Due to limited space in front of the dash on these cars, the 1958-62 Corvette retrofit is only offered in the straight configuration. Installation reuses the original under-dash mount, but a floor mount must be fabricated to secure the column to the firewall, and the factory solid shaft from the gearbox must be cut and machined into a 3/4" DD shape to accept a coupler.
