The ACT XACT Flywheel ProMass is a one-piece forged flywheel engineered as a single-mass conversion for BMW's 6-bolt N54/N55 dual-mass crankshaft, delivering improved engine response and acceleration while keeping gear rattle to a minimum for a more daily-driveable feel than a Streetlite flywheel. The forging is heat-treated for strength and toughness, and the ring gear is induction-hardened for maximum service life. One-piece construction eliminates the failure points found in multi-piece flywheels and provides uniform, efficient heat transfer away from the clutch disc, so there are no warped inserts or loose ring gears to deal with. Each flywheel is forged, CNC-machined, and dynamically computer-balanced for smooth, reliable operation at high RPM, and is SFI 1.1 certified.

What does the ACT 601030 flywheel fit?
The 601030 fits BMW's N54/N55-powered 135i, 335i, 335i xDrive, 335is, 435i, 435i xDrive, 535i, 535i xDrive, and Z4 sDrive35i across the 2009-2016 model years. See the full Vehicle Applications list above to confirm your specific year and trim.
What is a ProMass flywheel and how is it different from a Streetlite flywheel?
The ProMass is a single-mass flywheel conversion engineered specifically for BMW's 6-bolt N54/N55 dual-mass crankshaft, tuned to keep gear rattle to a minimum for a smoother, more daily-driveable feel than a Streetlite flywheel while still shedding rotating mass compared to the stock dual-mass unit.
Does the 601030 flywheel include a pressure plate and disc?
No. The 601030 is a flywheel only. ACT recommends pairing it with an ACT pressure plate and disc for a complete, matched clutch system.
What warranty comes with the ACT 601030?
ACT backs the 601030 flywheel with a one-year warranty.
