The Texas Speed L83 / LT1 / L86 DOD Delete Kit removes the factory Active Fuel Management (AFM, also called Displacement on Demand) system from GM Gen V 5.3L and 6.2L engines and replaces the factory camshaft with a Texas Speed OEM-style non-DOD camshaft. The kit supplies the lifters, lifter trays, plugs, gaskets and hardware needed to complete the conversion in one order.
Choose the L83 5.3L kit or the LT1/L86 6.2L kit from the Engine option. The two kits differ in the head gaskets supplied, so select the one that matches the engine in the vehicle. Tuning is required after installation to disable AFM in the ECM and calibrate the engine for the non-DOD camshaft. Texas Speed offers its DOD Delete Programmer (TSP-TS-3000) as an optional add-on for this kit.
