The Texas Speed x DiabloSport DOD/MDS Delete Programmer is a plug-and-play handheld that turns off Active Fuel Management (also called Displacement on Demand) on GM V8 vehicles and the Multi-Displacement System on Hemi vehicles. It is meant to be the tuning half of a mechanical DOD or MDS delete done with a factory-style non-DOD camshaft and standard lifters, so the engine runs on all eight cylinders at all times.
The programmer does one job: it disables DOD/AFM or MDS and restores full-time V8 operation without custom tuning experience. It does not support aftermarket or performance camshafts and does not tune for other performance modifications. Texas Speed lists coverage for 2007.5 to 2013 and 2014 to 2018 GM gas trucks and SUVs, 2010 to 2014 and 2015 to 2024 Chevrolet Camaro, 2005 to 2014 Dodge and Chrysler cars with the 5.7L Hemi, 2011 to 2014 cars with the 6.4L Hemi, and 2005 to 2014 Ram trucks with the 5.7L or 6.4L Hemi.

FAQ
What does the Texas Speed x DiabloSport DOD/MDS Delete Programmer do?
It plugs into the vehicle and disables Active Fuel Management (DOD) on GM V8s or the Multi-Displacement System on Hemi engines, so the engine runs on all eight cylinders all the time. It is designed to complete a mechanical DOD or MDS delete done with a stock-style camshaft.
Will this programmer work with an aftermarket camshaft?
No. Texas Speed states the TS-3000 only supports stock or stock-style non-DOD/MDS camshafts. Vehicles with a performance camshaft need a custom tune instead.
Which vehicles does the DOD/MDS Delete Programmer cover?
Texas Speed lists 2007.5 to 2013 and 2014 to 2018 GM gas trucks and SUVs, 2010 to 2014 and 2015 to 2024 Chevrolet Camaro, 2005 to 2014 Dodge and Chrysler cars with the 5.7L Hemi, 2011 to 2014 cars with the 6.4L Hemi and 2005 to 2014 Ram trucks with the 5.7L or 6.4L Hemi. 2019 to 2021 GM trucks use the separate TS-3090.
Do I still need to replace the lifters if I use this programmer?
The programmer is intended to be used with DOD or MDS delete hardware, meaning a non-DOD camshaft, standard lifters and plugs for the oil passages. It only disables the system electronically and does not by itself repair failed AFM or MDS lifters.
Does the programmer add horsepower or tune other modifications?
No. Its single function is to disable DOD/AFM or MDS. It does not tune for intakes, headers, cams or other performance upgrades.
Why delete AFM or MDS at all?
Texas Speed points to lifter failure, oil consumption and misfire problems as the common issues with the cylinder deactivation systems. Removing the hardware and disabling the system with this programmer eliminates those failure points.
