This Series 50 Mid-Air helmet is Snell SA2025 rated and full-face in design. The shell is a fiber-reinforced polymer composite made from a fiberglass and Kevlar blend, built to balance light weight with strength.
The helmet includes reinforced M6-1.0 HANS/HNR inserts molded into the shell for mounting a head and neck restraint anchor, along with an expanded polystyrene (EPS) liner. SA2025 rated features include fire-retardant paint, a replaceable Nomex inner liner and cheek pads, a Kevlar chin strap, and a clear 3mm anti-fog shield with adjustable tear-off posts.
The Series 50 line uses a mid-mounted air inlet port designed to reduce the chance of the air hose contacting the vehicle roof, while still providing clearance for most head and neck restraint seats. The 1-1/4 inch barbed inlet port directs air through internal passageways to the top of the helmet and front shield area to help keep the driver cool and the shield clear.
