The Allstar Performance Punch and Flare Tool 2in ALL11074 punches and flares a 2in diameter hole in sheet metal in one operation. The tool cuts holes in up to 20 gauge (.0359in) steel or 18 gauge (.0403in) aluminum. Hole size increases about 1/8in when the hole is flared.
To use the tool, mark the center point of the hole location and drill a 1/2in pilot hole as a guide. Apply a lubricant such as WD-40 to the bolt, bearing, and panel surface before tightening the mandrel bolt to cut and flare the hole. The tool is constructed of steel with a black paint finish.
