It uses a bar-and-plate core, upgraded from the original tube-and-fin design, with an Aero-Flow bar design, turbulated multi-louvered fins, 6 rows of cooling in a dual-pass top-and-bottom configuration, and fully TIG-welded extruded end tanks, in an OE-style black finish. It is a one-to-one replacement for the OEM unit at the factory mounting points and accepts factory oil-line connections; EU E36 M3 and US Z3 M models are a drop-in fit, while non-equipped E36 models need the BimmerWorld Euro oil-cooler bracket kit (compatible with OEM radiators or the CSF 3054).
