The MSD 7AL-2 Plus updates the original 7AL-2 — long the most popular ignition control in drag racing — with improved internal components, a built-in 2-Step Rev Control, and a diagnostic LED. Voltage output and spark energy climb over 40% above the original, and two terminal strips make wiring easier in the car. The diagnostic LED above the power connections flashes only when the coil fires, confirming the coil, trigger source, and ignition are all working properly.
