The Allstar Performance Series 50 Mid-Air Helmet is a Snell SA2025 rated full-face racing helmet built from a fiberglass and Kevlar composite shell for a balance of light weight and strength. The shell includes reinforced M6-1.0 HANS/HNR inserts for head and neck restraint anchor points and an expanded polystyrene (EPS) liner. Fire-retardant paint, a replaceable Nomex inner liner and cheek pads, a Kevlar chin strap, and a clear 3mm anti-fog shield with adjustable tear-off posts are included.
The Series 50 line uses a mid-mounted air inlet port designed to reduce the chance of the air hose contacting the vehicle roof while providing clearance for most containment seats. The 1-1/4 inch barbed inlet port routes air to passageways leading to the top of the helmet and front shield area to help keep the driver cool and the shield clear.
