It replaces the factory trunnion with a design featuring a pre-installed inner race pressed from 52100 heat-treated bearing steel (an upgrade over the 8620 carburized steel used in earlier V1-style trunnions and many OEM applications) and a self-oiling axle that priority-feeds oil directly to the trunnion, reducing friction and improving durability under high spring loads. Unlike BTR's LS1/LS3 trunnion upgrade kits, this LS7/Gen V kit ships complete with its own rocker bolts.
