MSD's Pro-Billet Cam Sync Distributor for the Ford 351W combines an adjustable Hall-effect cam sync pickup with an internal magnetic pickup to trigger the ignition control. The cam sync signal is adjustable up to 60° BTDC to work with most aftermarket sequential-fire EFI systems, and it's crimped with a 2-pin Weathertight connector. The housing is CNC-machined from billet aluminum, and the cap is molded from DuPont Rynite for strength and spark-scatter resistance. A two-piece adjustable rotor is included to help dial in proper rotor phasing.

FAQ
What is a cam sync signal used for?
Sequential-fire aftermarket EFI systems need a cam synchronization signal so the ECU knows when cylinder number one is firing, which sets the injector firing order.
How adjustable is the cam sync pickup?
The Hall-effect sync pickup can be adjusted up to 60° BTDC to match most aftermarket ECU requirements.
Is this distributor legal for street use?
No. It is legal for Racing Use Only vehicles — competition vehicles that are not registered and never operated on the street — and is not legal to install on an emissions-controlled street vehicle.
What ignition control does it require?
It must be used with an MSD 6, 7, or 8-Series ignition.
